Prevention is key

If there ever was an overarching theme of 2020, then it would be HEALTH. Does anyone go a single day without thinking about the health of yourself, your family, your coworkers, the lady behind you at the grocery store, your neighbor, do I really to go on?

.

COVID-19 is not just an acute illness that spontaneously disappears after 14 days of rest under quarantine. For many who been affected by this novel virus, the long-term sequelae are still being discovered in nearly all organ systems - neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular, just as an example.

.

Prevention is key.

.

We know that wearing a mask and washing hands, and social distancing helps prevent the spread of the aerosolized coronavirus droplets.

.

What about other health issues that we continue to see the rise of in the U.S.? Obesity, Type 2 diabetes, cancers, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease?

.

Now, more than ever, is a time to optimize nutrition and daily exercise as a strategy for illness prevention and health maintenance.

.

Walk. Breathe. Stretch. Eat your veggies.

.

Think well. Be well.
